I am addicted too! For some reason I am drawn to them the most....(for now anyway!)...hehehe. Size doesn't stop me either, even though I barely have any more space. I just love them!
I have:
10 blooming size
5 seedlings of the same type
2 nearly blooming size

Hi Dene, how are you growing them? It's said that it's quite hard to grow Vandas inside, in Canada to boot. Have you been able to rebloom them?? Please share your secret

I have a few too, and I might be addicted too. I don't have a number or a list so I don't know how many I have. I do have vanda books, a vanda pic on my pc desktop, they are the first things I visit when I get home, last things I look at when I leave. I love smelling them, inhaling deeeply. Checking out their roots, their faces, their lips.....and NSA I love them, but maybe not addicted.

I love them too, probably have about 20 or so...but I find that they take extra care and on days that I'm not feeling well they don't let me take a day off so...no more for me

I know I just got more adicted when my V. Robberts Delight put out a spike. Now I am even more hooked right now I am thinking about getting
Vanda luzonica
Vanda tricolor (suavis)
RHYNCHOSTYLIS gigantea
I wonder what will happen when my Nobile Dendrobium Red Emperor 'Prince' is in bloom i can only feed one adiction at a time

In the last two months two of them (V. Gordon Dillion x V. Karulea and Ascda Muang Thong) have developed spikes! I was thrilled when I spotted the first one. I grow all of them in clay pots with bark. My kitchen has West and South facing windows which houses my Vandas.
I water them every three days and fertilize every two weeks. I live in Peterborough Ontario and love to go see Doug and Terry Kennedy who own Orchids in our Tropics ( Home - Orchids In Our Tropics)
The Kennedys have found that as long as the temperature doesn't go below 15 degrees C then they should be fine.

Yay! Another Canadian addicted to vandas!
You have more than I do thogh, Dene I have 7 all growing in my kitchen. I think I'm stopping there for a while due to space issues. They are all happy and healthy and even reblooming
I also got all my Vandas from Doug and Terry Kennedy at Orchids in our Tropics. They all are growing in baskets and are in the kitchen in west facing windows.

Hi Dene,
I'll admit my Vanda addiction too...and I have no intention of going to a 12 step program for this one.
Right now I have 117 vandaceous plants in my collection, plus about 100 each of 6 different hybids in flasks. No, it's not an obsession...it's a passion!
