Wow David, that is awesome! But you are definitely addicted, no doubt about it! I admit I really am attracted to them, too. I have 15 and none are blooming right now. Every day I check them for spikes. Soon, soon, I can feel it!

Only have 4 and that's because they were gifts, sent to me. I would have dozens more but I'm not able to give them the right amount of light, where I'm growing now. These and Catts which I have about 20 of, all hanging now from the palm trees in front on my house, which I bought before I knew better. Some day....

Sandy,
How can you not have the right amount of light for vandas in central FL? If you need me to babysit I am happy to....
I went to have a look at my wish list to see how many of them are vandas, and noticed that I accidentally ended up with one of the ones on my wish list! Yippee...It is in spike right now too! I was wondering what the flowers would look like, but I always put a link in my list, so I could see what my plant will be showing me soon! Here it is:

Swamper,
I think it's cute how you say you aren't addicted...

Jenn, sad but true. My patio faces north east and come late autumn, any direct and filtered sun, vanishes. It sucks! The front of my house faces south west where the Catts are. This is all a temp. living arrangement I'm in now and can hardly wait till I'm able to give them great, natural light again.

Well, my living arrangement is temporary too, thank goodness, bucause my growing area, and vanda area are both out of control and out of space. Once you get to your new place you will have so many vanda friends that you will fill up your space very fast I bet!

I am sooooo addicted to many Vanda types (Vandas, Rhynchostylis, Mokara, Ascda and Vascostylis).
I have about 40-50 now.
And Neb, I'm gonna have 3 more soon!!
If I can find the 3 you have in those pics!!
Absolutely awesome babies!!
I have a few of the RHYNCHOSTYLIS gigantea, but not sure on the colors, as none have bloomed yet.

Of course you are in denial! Look how many times you have checked this post and replied! You'll come around to admitting it eventually!

Well, I'll add my two cents......I now have 20 in the vandaeous family. I have only 6 vandas the others are either Ascda., Mokara, Vascostylis, and Rhyncostylis. I really love the smaller ones as I can have more with less space. My G/H is way tooooo small (isn't everyones?) to accomodate any more. Three in bloom now, two others with spikes and several others have bloomed twice this year.
