Default Vanda JVB x V Gulf of Siam 'Giant'
I've been watching this bud for days and it opened fully overnight!!! It sparkles in the sun! Very pretty but not very large.

Does anybody know what the JVB in the first name stands for or is that the actual name???

Yay! I had such a hard time with my first vanda, I was nervous about the rest of them...now three are in bud!!!

I believe the "JVB" stands for Josephine van Brero ... but could be wrong. The name sounds familiar though.

Very nice Susanne! The flower will be much bigger en better in colour in the next 5-7 days.
JVB means indeed 'Josephine van Brero' , the name comes from Holland !

This plant's blooms made some changes from the day they opened! Amazing plant...I love it!

One thing that Josephine von Brero (JVB) brings to its offspring is an incredibly long-lasting flower. Color usually deepens as flower matures.

We have JVB by Ascocenda Fortune East ... at opening, color is rich yellow; as flowers mature they take on a hint of orange giving appearance of a golden sunset. Flowers have lasted up to 14 weeks!

The colors have changed somewhat but I'm more amazed that the shape has changed so much!

how is shape changing? is it getting flatter? mine always has some degree of windowing (inherited from JVB)
