You can order them really cheap from Calwest Orchids Supplies. Here is the site:
http://www.calwesttropical.com/index.php

Click on the link for wood baskets on the side and then you can choose either the black plastic types of wood ones. Pretty good prices too if you can't find them in your area for sale (I can't and there are orchids everywhere here!).

D & S Mabel, there are Many here in Central FL that sell all supplies for our chids. As I hate paying shipping. And love to pick out and see what I'm buying

I'm going to find the list of them soon, and post them here for you.
Here's some, more will come when I find them...

I've bought supplies and many chids from World of Orchids, as they have a Load of supplies. I haven't been to the others, but I called them both, and they say they many chid supplies.
I just love to go there and pick out just the goodies I want I've seen the flyers for the others, and they look like a ball of fun to go too!

I've still to find somewhere near me (Reading, Berkshire, UK) that sells anything but Noids, bog standard orchid mix and the 'traditional orchid handbook'.

*Trouble* I am sorry to hear that! That is too bad. We are very fortunate in Florida. Perhaps another member will come along and give you some tips and locations of better places to check out!

I went to Orlando on holiday in March; was most upset to see lovely orchids being sold on the roadside... and I couldn't take any home.

Yes, they do that...I have to look the other way when I pass those places or somehow my car veers off the road on it's own and turns itself off after parking right by the roadside orchid seller. Luckily for me they only take cash which I rarely carry! HA! I am sure you will find some good places in time though...come on other members in the UK!

I try....that's the sad part. It doesn't come naturally. Usually people just end up looking at me like a I am a crazy person...or maybe that is for another reason! (like buying more plants then one can carry!) HAHA!
