Hi , Sue. All are tring hard to grow this palnt . This orchids grow here well. And very popular too.
But we grow them on soil and give a supportive post.
They grow about 7 foot tall .And make several spikes .
And large flowers come out . maroon color. We use this flower for wreaths. Thats mean plenty of flowers available .

for your reply. I think you must have the ideal climate to grow this orchid, same as Singapore. High humidity and lots of rain. 7 foot tall - WOW. I now have mine growing on a support, which is some mesh made into a cylinder and filled with coir and dead leaves. I read about this online somewhere. But it is certainly not 7 foot high.

I guess I will have to extend the support because it has now reached the top - about 3 feet. I am hoping for some flowers one day, but I am not counting on "plenty of flowers". I think I will be ecstatic if I get one tiddler. You never know this may be my lucky year.

Sue
