Galeandra batemanii x greenwoodiana

Hi there - I brought a Galeandra that looks much like this one back from Hawaii to a glass house in MA. It's my first. I only lost one bud on the plant - about 4 others developed and bloomed. However, I had it in very bright light and read that they prefer partial, so I moved it. Very quickly, I lost the leaves. Have I lost this plant or does it shed its leaves like a lycaste and then come back? I love this little guy and will be very disappointed if I can't bring him back....

I do give this one a slight winter rest, only a slight misting once a month from Nov through Feb and then it starts putting out new growths...


there's hope!!!

By the way, I keep all my Gals in rather high light

Thanks. I bought this in late October and it bloomed through January...I guess I'll keep an eye on him and hope for the best.
