Hi! I just wanted to post a couple pics of my newbies. I got them at the same place as Jackie (Smileysorchids). They are both gorgeous plants. I really can't remember their names (sorry), but will make sure to note them tonight and I can add them on here tomorrow.
The lighter colored one is something cross with V. Mimi Palmer, but I can't recall what. The other is something that I can't remember at all. It is a Vanda hybrid though. Anyway, the darker one (which is a little more brownish then the pictures depict) is much larger then the other, has great roots, and a basal keiki on the way! Unfortunately, as of this morning it only had 2 flowers left (sigh).
I guess I just got it at the end of it's bloom cycle. The other one (3 flowers and it's first bloom ever it seems) is much smaller, and the flowers are holding on still.
Added bonus...lighter one (V. Mimi Palmer x V ?) smells wonderful, a light flowery type fragrance. The darker one has a root beer type smell...I swear! Anyway, both are breathtaking!
