Default A couple more newbies

Hi! I just wanted to post a couple pics of my newbies. I got them at the same place as Jackie (Smileysorchids). They are both gorgeous plants. I really can't remember their names (sorry), but will make sure to note them tonight and I can add them on here tomorrow.

The lighter colored one is something cross with V. Mimi Palmer, but I can't recall what. The other is something that I can't remember at all. It is a Vanda hybrid though. Anyway, the darker one (which is a little more brownish then the pictures depict) is much larger then the other, has great roots, and a basal keiki on the way! Unfortunately, as of this morning it only had 2 flowers left (sigh). I guess I just got it at the end of it's bloom cycle. The other one (3 flowers and it's first bloom ever it seems) is much smaller, and the flowers are holding on still.

Added bonus...lighter one (V. Mimi Palmer x V ?) smells wonderful, a light flowery type fragrance. The darker one has a root beer type smell...I swear! Anyway, both are breathtaking!

Beautiful Jenn. Root beer???? I guess I shouldn't be surprised since one of my vandas smells like grape juice.

Girrrrl, I WISH I WOULD'VE STOLE THE ROOTBEER WHILE SHE WAS IN MY CAR!!! That huge rain storm we had while you were unloading, I could've handed you one of my Vanda's!
Then I'd could get drunk on Rootbeer every day

Do you really think you could have snuck that past me? I don't think so!!! Rain storm or not, I would have noticed! I got so soaked after that because I decided I needed to collect rain (got at least 8+ gallons). THen I just got in my swim suit and kept collecting rain until I coudln't find anywhere else to put it so I played in the puddles a little! Hehe...

Just thought I would follow up with the correct names...

The lighter colored vanda is V. Mimi Palmer x V. Gold Spot

The darker one is V. Merillii x V. Gordon Dillon "Lea"

Thanks for looking!

Hi Jenn,

the V merrillii is a species so the M should be lower case.
Not really a big deal but I thought you'd like to know
