Nice tricolor could this be variety insignis? i'm not an expert on the species. I only have the variety suavis. They are sometimes split into different species by some. I wish i could track down some other varieties. The suavis do well outdoors for me here where i live. They seem very adaptible. Both cool and heat tolerant.
Hi Orchid Lover,
V. tricolor and V. insignis are two seperate vanda species altogether. For reference sake, here is a photo of my V. insignis. It is V. insignis 'Robert Bailey' HCC/AOS that I received the HCC on last November. Enjoy!
yes i am also of the belief that tricolor and insignis are separate species but i believe that suavis is a variety of tricolor not a separate species. I have seen suavis labelled as a different species by many.

Ummm...this is something I am not positive about myself; however I will be seeing a vanda expert who is also an AOS judge on Sunday...I will ask him about it when I see him and get back to you.
Mauro! Beautiful growing!
This is defenately a V. tricolor var. planilabris.
One of the most beautiful varieties of V. tricolor.
The tipo and suavis are very different.
Nice pics!!
