My First Vanda Tessellata Pics
I just got this one yesterday and took some pics inside before hangin it outside on a phoenix roebelenii. I hope it does well there since I've had pretty good luck with other trees. Hope you like the pics.
Ok the one on the tree was too large but its in my gallery oh well enjoy these 3?

Thanks Wanda and Roly. I was told to cut the flowers and stick them in a vase so it would strengthen the plant overall but I'm hesitant. I guess I will...maybe...tomorrow.

Beautiful flowers, and definitely one of my favorite vanda species. I like the colors on yours, which don't look anything like the ones on my plant. But I understand (or at least THINK I understand) that tessellata's got a lot of variability from one plant to the next. How do you like the scent?

The blooms are lovely. That plant is huge and I assume you didn't have it sent but picked it up from the grower. It must be so nice to be able to grow them outdoors.

Thanks guys, Steve the scent is awesome I love it.
Marylin, you're right I got them locally. I am very fortunate to be able to get them so close to my house and to be able to grow them outside. I wish I lived in a bigger lot where I could plant more trees but I'm not complaining. I notice that it's taking me a lot more time to water and fertilize too but I love it all.

great growing. Perhaps the slow comments were because the initial group of pictures were so highly contrasted due to strong light from the left and nothing from the right.
I just wish I could grow like you do.
