Default Unknown Mokara

I don't know the name of this plant. I bought is a long while ago in the Florida Keys. I call it my "10 ft Mokara" because the top of the plant plus the length of the roots used to be about 10 feet, now, its closer to 16 ft. The roots hang all the way to the ground, and the greenhouse ceiling is 20 ft at the gable. This plant has multiple keikis which are mature and bloom, usually all at the same time. At the moment, there are 7 blooming spikes on the plant. Its probably my favorite orchid, it blooms like this 4-5 times a year. It seems to never be out of bloom

That is an amazing Vanda! Are you going to just let her grow like that, or do you plan to remove the keikis anytime soon? Just curious! It's so fantastic! Thanks for sharing!

Thats a fantastic plant. The color is great, it looks so sunny.

You are fortunate to have a greenhouse for it. It is not a windowsil plant, for sure.

Thank you all for your kind words. I really like this orchid. I have bought several vandaceous orchids in the Keys in years past. None are ever labeled with names. They get them in from Thailand or wherever and they are completely unidentified. I asked one of the nursery owners why that was once several years ago and he told me that "people around here don't care about names, they just buy by color". I guess that might be true for folks just looking to hang up a nice plant, but I like to know the name and the cross too, LOL
