I am having the same problem and i followed your instructions hopefully the vanda will root. it is half the size of yours so i am not sure if it has much strength to root but will try. very greatfull for your posting.

Did you use any special water with like orchid food or tab is ok?

Also do you think warm or cool temp is better.
