Wow, what a wonderful vanda. I just love the coloring. Where did you get it? and how long have you had it? Multiply spikes or not? I love vandas and have quite a few but not this one....tho I would like to have. Thanks for the show!

Hi Don et al -
I've had this plant awhile, got it as a smallish seedling at a show about 8 years ago - it did take awhile to reach blooming size. Blooms every few months here. It has never had more than one spike, but it's only been blooming for about 2-3 years, so there's hope.
Vanda growing in south Louisiana involves hanging them on the fence in pretty much full sun, hosing off on days it doesn't rain, and apologizing for the sunburn!
Hard to see in the photo, but the petals/sepals have a gray-purple border (very much the GD influence).
