Default Schoenorchis fragrans

On a recent trip to Del Favero Orchids, this little bugger kept calling my name! I already had one, so I kept trying to ignore it, but it won out and I brought him home with me, and I am so glad that I did!

It is way to hard to get a really good photo of this as the plant itself is about the size of a dime and the flowers...well you can just imagine!

Thanks Wanda for the compliments.
Where do you live in Puerto Rico ?
My daughter just came home for the summer from Optometry School in Bayamon.

Spectacular!

I generally go for large plants not tiny ones, but the first time I saw one of these in bloom, on the Orchid Society show and tell table, I was hooked. Yours appears to have more flowers than leaves!

Laura, the pictures are great but seeing it in person was astounding! I love the color of this one as it's so much darker than the ones we usually see.

Thanks Sue,
I looked this up on orchidspecies IOSPE PHOTOS
and they have a photo that looks more like this one, than the ones that we got from Andy's. I am wondering if the ones from Andy's are from a different country causing them to look different.
Also on orchidspecies it shows that they require part sun?!

Those blooms are so gorgeous! Love the darker color too!

Think I am going to have to increase light levels for mine. It's doing well but is not blooming!

Can you post a photo showing where the spike emerges? And are the blooms on one long or short spike?

So cool to see your photos! Thanks so much for posting them!
