Default Cleisostoma saggitiforme

Hey Project 6 folks...this is the first to bloom from the Oak Hill gift certificate plants!

Thanks again

I'm assuming it was the change of conditions between there and here that caused all but three of the numerous buds to blast on this spike. I also found a smaller spike growing into the sphag moss! Surprisingly, the 4 or 5 buds on that one look fine!

The entire plant is about 2 inches high and this bloom is about 1/4 inch across...so cute!

Susanne,
Can you let me know under what conditions you have your? What medium? and does the spike grow down? should it be hanging? I have mine in average light and its growing and plumping up, the leaves were all pleated when i bought it. Its in a basket in regular medium bark but is sitting in a terra cotta pot. It seems happy but is that the good?
Thank you
Chumy

It's always nice to see the fruits of your labor!
Looks like you put the gift certificate to good use!

What a cutie, Sue! I love this one. Did you get cultural recommendations for it? (Fingers crossed that its one that I can grow here....)
