There she is and very sweetly fragrant; best merrillii I have in my collection.

Two different views. Pretty nice spray for this species!

I believe it has a total of 11 flowers on one spike. I have multiple spikes with this plant in the past.

Both pictures composed tonight.

Let me be the first to say how beautiful those flowers are! I must have one when we're done moving! What do they smell like, anything like the grapey smell of tessellatta?

Almost like a fruity breakfast cereal. Great fruitiness and highly odoriferous in the mornings.

Congratulations on your beautiful flowers. I look forward to mine flowering every spring, and the fantastic fragrance alone is enough to make you forget about any other vanda in the vicinity that might be flowering at the same time as V. merrillii. Do you have your plant in a basket or pot?

Oh, what a beauty. I bought a 'Bankok Brown' (brunnea X merrill) in Feb. I hope it looks like that. I bought it because of a recommendation by the grower without ever even seeing a picture of it.

Dorothy found a pic of it for me on the net and the pic looks a lot like yours. Hope it blooms soon. My plant is rather small but I was told it has bloomed before so I have hope.
