Ah, one of those less-than-$5 mesh-sack plants from Lowe's - (Ascda. Fuch's Gold x V. Theptang) x Ascda. Fuch's Sunset. Nice bright flowers, relatively large on a small plant. Can't knock the price; bought this this past winter.
Regards - Nancy

Can you grow vandas in Canada? I thought it would be all the ones we *can't* - masdevalia, dracula, etc.
They do like it here - hot, wet, humid and sunny.
We do too! Nancy

I have 7 in my kitchen!
But it's not as dry here as some places, and temperatures get pretty hot in the summer. I'm of the mind that if you really wanted to... you could grow anything up here

I can't believe you got one to flower! I've bought a few that I thought I was rescuing from HD or Lowes. All suffered a painful slow death from poor root structure.

Nancy, it's beautiful. It's hard to believe that you got it to bloom so soon. You must have the golden touch.
