I just received these two plants from the 'Supreme For Life Shop' outside of Bangkok (Nonthaburi Thailand). The plants are hybrids grown from seed by Supreme Orchids of Thailand. Each plant will have its own unique color and form. The seller will try to let the customer order a specific color if the customer chooses to do so. I did not specify a color and let the store choose for me. And I am happy that I did it this way.

"Description: *Renades Ruedirom hybrid orchid is a hybrid between Renanthera philippinensis × Aerides rosea, developed by Supreme Orchids Garden. *Bright and unusual orchids bloom all year round. *It is a hybrid orchid produced from seed. The physiological characteristics of the plant, leaves, flowers, flower color and scent will be different in every plant." (copied and pasted from the seller).

The plant without the blooms/flowers is the same plant that had previously bloomed that the seller included as a freebe. WOW! It is kind of exciting because when it does rebloom, it probably will be a different color.

I still have a lot to learn about this hybrid. The plants that the seller sent to me I think are incredible! I now have several different vanda species and hybrids grown by Supreme Orchids Garden. Their website is on Facebook.

In doing some internet research, I see that some websites choose to call this breed an 'artificial' plant. I disagree with that description. Artificial to me implies a fake or plastic non-living thing. The right term I think should be 'intergeneric' -- the crossing of two different species.

Beautiful! I think the term "artificial plant" is a "lost in translation" issue. Correctly, this is an intergeneric hybrid. (Actually, here a primary hybrid, the hybrid of two species) Or to get fancier, Renades is a nothogenus (a human-made intergeneric genus)

Great glowing color, and heavy flower substance.
