Vanda Ruby Velvet

This is my largest vanda plant (largest orchid plant) that I own. My Vanda Ruby Velvet is an unregistered hybrid that I purchased from Kanjana Orchids on Shopee (like Amazon in Asia) in 2019 and has survived being moved 5 different times to different locations in Thailand. My V Ruby Velvet blooms very often, irregardless of the season.

In Thailand, there is not a nice gradual change in the climate/weather between February (the end of our 'cool' season) and March (the beginning of our hot season). Starting just two days ago the high jumped from 30C (86F) to 39C (102F) and will remain extremely hot for the two months until the rainy (monsoon) season kicks in starting in May. It is also very humid (which the orchid plants love).

Vanda Ruby Velvet produces blooms all year-round irregardless of the different weather seasons that we have here in Chaiyaphum. This is not true with most of my other 12 vanda plants that I have.
