Rhynchostylis species care

I have had some rhynchostylis retusa(pink and alba) and gigantea (cartoon , spotted) for a while. I am growing them under led grow lights which they seem to love , and have been producing quite a lot of roots and new root tips all over , they produce 1 leaf every 4 to 6 months ... some are mounted, some are in baskets , and they seem to be growing pretty vigorously ....
Temperatures are warm to hot here, i cant fertilize yet because i dont want to burn the root tips....

But none of them have bloomed for me ....
Any tips or ideas on how to make them flower or induce flower spikes? Like do they need any special conditions for blooming?

They tend to flower in winter. In your warmth they should be producing leaves faster. I would fertilize at a frequency depending on the formulation. What fertilizer do you have?

Hello , thanks , i have a few different types of fertilizer:-
a 20-20-20 balanced growth fertilizer
One bloom boosting fertilizer
a calcium magnesium supplement
A seaweed kelp solution (for root growth)
And Vitanica P3 ( immunity booster, stress reducer)

Depending on the orchid genus and growth stage i use the required fertilizer, as for rhynchostylis im not using at the moment because i dont want to burn the new root tips that are emerging

If you are burning root tips, I think your fertilizer mix is just too strong. That 20-20-20 should be fine, at perhaps 1/2 to 1/4 strength of what it says on the bottle, once a week. (Dilute fertilizer frequently is what orchids need) I would use about 3 grams in 4 L of water. . When the plant is in rapid growth, it NEEDS fertilizer, just dilute and often.

I’ve been growing Gigantea indoors from smaller babies for 2 years now under warm and humid conditions in my little greenhouse. One just started spiking, I hope to show pictures in a month or two.

Actually, gigantea roots seem to be some of the hardiest roots in my collection. Everything else gets discolored by my tap water or gets dried out if not growing into media fast enough, but gigantea roots look just as good as the day they first grew. They will also grow super long outside of the pot not minding the fluctuating conditions. As stated, if they are growing go ahead and fertilize at 1/2 or 1/4 strength. I use MSU at 1/4 every 5 days and I use RO now but they didn’t do any differently before when I used to mix with tap.
