Default Sarcochilus Kulnura Passion

From Barrita, this Kulnura Passion is Kulnura Dazzel 'Purple Blotch' x Sweetheart 'Speckles'. Definitely my most reliable bloomer! This fall though I am going to dry chill them all!

Thanks Roberta, I can't say they don't grow well. This one has been reliably blooming for several years. This november they are all going outside and getting some fall chill!

Nice sarco. I have a question, who or what is the Barrita you are referring to?

Cheers

yes Scott Barrita has been doing some cutting edge breeding in Australia, I think he calls these "high color" sarcs. Several years ago I got a number of select cultivars from him (through Tim Culbertson) and have bloomed several - all with great shape and color! I think Fred Clarke at SVO has a lot of seedlings, many of which were bred by Scott (although I think Fred might be making his own crosses too)

Same avenue I got mine. I believe Tim is actually an associate of Fred's now.

yes I know Tim has been working with Fred, in fact Tim might be my top plant dealer these days. many of these plants (like the catasetums) I think are Fred's!
