Unfortunately it doesnt have any live roots left. I had trouble getting it root before I left for holidays and it was the peak of summer here. Thought it would have bounced back but growth was stunned

A bad root can sometimes still hydrate the plant, though not as efficiently as a good one. If you can keep it warm and humid, you may be able to keep it going until it starts growing a new batch. As long as the crown is green and looks OK, there's hope... Patience.

Of course, if you lose the crown, then it done... if the top part stays alive and green, it may be able to generate enough energy to produce some new roots. A Vanda with good roots and a bad crown can sometimes produce a new basal growth. If you have neither, than game over.

I checked this morning and removed some leaves that were dropping off. more than half gone but that browning has progressed up. I turned myself in to a more unothodox way by putting some aloe vera extracts from the crown to stop that browning.

Do these concoction such as the well mentioned cinnamon really do anything?
