Ceratocentron Fesselii
Recently got this little guy (very little) to bloom for me for the first time, and with a double spike no less. Was pretty excited to see the first blooms on these. Super hard to capture all of the detail, but they basically sparkle a bit in the light. I have a macro lens attachment for my phone that I may try out tomorrow to see what more detail I can get. The flowers aren't quite fully open it seems like - they open up so slow it's hard to tell. The second flower for sure needs a bit more time, but I don't think they'll all be open on at the same time. There would have been a third flower, but I excel at snapping off buds when I get overly anxious to inspect how they're developing (and this plant was no exception). Regardless, I thought I'd share.
For those curious about the culture: I grow these in my intermediate / warm terrarium with about 85% RH, I let it dry out and water / mist it every 1-2, sometimes 3 days. I fertilize lightly when growing, then taper that off and do a lot of pure water or water with cal-mag occasionally when it's not growing. As far as light, it's right around cattleya light, plus or minus - I could measure for PPFD if someone wants an exact number though. That's pretty much it, hardest part would be for most would be achieving the humidity with airflow, but I can control all the factors in a terrarium.
