My box arrived from MAD Happenings.
V. coerulea in spike above.
V. Thonglor X Khun Ying above. Other plants with it are E. tampensis also purchased.

Not pictured is a V. Robert's Delight 'Alexander' and an Ionopsis utriculoides. The I. utric. is now living with another Vanda.

Next box to arrive will be a V. sumatrana and a Onc. ensatum, also from MH, and will live together.

Am beyond satisfied.

I bought my bangkok sunset from the same guy too, he seems very reliable for vanda shipping. I'm thinking of getting the denisoniana from him but the winter here in Socal is terrible so I'd hold back.
I'll be receiving my Ionopsis utriculoides from Ecuador soon, best wishes to both of us!

Good to hear that you liked him, too. I have a denisoniana from Motes or I'd've ordered one, too. The utric has about 8 leads. BTW, got a really nice multiple lead V. coerulescens from Andys last year. A champ!

Glad your Vanda arrived in good health.
As for me, I am still struggling to find good plants at a reasonable price. Today I finally received from Hausermann my Vanda sanderiana, which has been on my wish list forever. To my surprise, though, the plant arrived stuck in a 5' pot full of damp fine bark. The roots inside the bark were all long dead. The damage doesn't seem to have occurred during the shipping, which took only 2 days. Rather, it seems as though the orchid had been living in that pot for quite a while and overtime it had lost all the roots due to inadequate air flow and potting media. The only viable roots left were four short aerial roots about 4-5' long sticking upwards outside the medium. The far ends including the tips were already dried out and shriveled, as though the aerial roots had been in the process of dying back for some time, and only the part closer to the plant was still alive. How disappointing!

Such restraint! Suavis something special.

That is disappointing. Depending on plant size, Louis. Orchid Conn. sells interesting plants often less than 20.00. Check out Motes for good quality vandaceous. Varius sizes at various prices. I'm a fan of both among others. MAD Happenings is a recent find and am hapy for finding it.
