about the size of a quarter. this plant will have 7 of these. they stay low under the leaves, shy flowers.

Ooooo, that's a nice one! I'd never seen the name before, so had to do a little google. Off topic... while looking around I saw this Bulbo Bulbophyllum lasiochilum - J&L Orchids on the JL website. Scared the BeJeezus out of me! It looks EXACTLY like my 5th grade teacher. Yikes!!

Definitely an oddball genus.... and really cute flower. WW, that Bulbo is definitely scary!

a diamond orchid plant from his catalogue.
outside most of the summer in absolute miserable conditions. kept watered twice a day. planted in orchiata charcoal and perlite all medium to chunky stuff. goes right along with the sun loving florida vandas.doesnt seem to mind the heat. its come inside for the winter into the orchidome. I dont think it will like much below 50 outside.

its fragrance opened up today. smells like a neo. very vanilla smells really nice and clean
