The high content of coerulea in Ascda PM's background (more than 50%) makes it pretty adaptable to the conditions that we have in our greenhouse (in NH).
We bought an Ascda. Princess Mikasa seedling in 1992. It was in a 4" plastic basket and was blooming for the first time, carrying 6 flowers! Subsequent bloomings have yielded 10+ flowers per inflorescence, including spikes on keikis and it flowers two or three times a year.
Our PM earned an HCC (78 points) in 2003. 'Kinda Blue' carried 10 flowers on a 30 cm inflorescence on the main fan; and 6 flowers on a keiki.

Cultural Tips For Growing in New Hampshire
Vandas are mermaids – they like sun on their faces;
wind in their hair; and gentle waves lapping their fins
Good growth is achieved with a balance of all the cultural elements. Vigorous roots are the foundation for good culture
Bright, filtered light for 12 or more hours a day
Temp range 55 – 85 F depends on species
Winter low 60 to 70 F
Summer high 85 F
Steady air movement around leaves and roots
Humidity 60 – 80% with air temp at 65 F
Drench (tempered water) up to 3 times daily on sunny days in summer; no
misting or drenching on rainy or cloudy days unless using hot air heating system.
