Hi ! Any body knows about Tesselata orchids .Its light blue and color white orchid and grown in dry zone. Ther is a picture in my gallery .
One of my friend is growing that plant and he is doing a MSc on that orchid plant.
Here we had the Colombo orchid show .Lots of Catleyas displayed in it. Very strong mix spice fragrence
they gave.

Sorry it was misspelt before.

Thakshila,

That's a very nice plant! I sure wish that plant were a bit closer so we could outcross with it!

I've got only one of these, and haven't found anyone with a blooming sized plant to outcross with. The true identity of the plant is Vanda roxburghii, with Vanda tessellata being a synonymous epithet. The plant I grow is an aurea form, taking on a more orange color in the flowers. The plant has since been confirmed by Eric A. Christenson that it is a true Vanda roxburghii.

One thing about this species: they're easy. Mine is growing outside, hung to a tree. It grows nicely in low light, and can definitely tolerate higher amounts of sun. Watering is minimal, as you said, a drier species. I do find that extra watering (perhaps during your monsoon season) will inhibit more growth. These can become monsters, so be careful and don't stand to close to them!

Plant, currently at about 13ft. (~4 meters)

Flowers

Its a pleasure to see you back here again .Wish you good luck for orchids.
