A beautiful blooming. Relatively newly-described species... some were shipped as V. javierii and turned out to be a new species.

Thats right. Back in the year 2007 i ordered this one as V. javierii. Many years later, when it finally got flowers it turned out to be V. barnesii.
For a short time it was called javierii Red Lip.
For me this V. barnesii is one of the most attractive Vanda species.

What an unusual Vanda, it looks like a phalaenopsis. Is it scented?
