Crown rot? Female
Default Crown rot?

I have been dunking my vandals that are in wood baskets.
On one, the leaves at the top are turning black & falling off.
Could it be saved by cutting the stem below that area?
Thanks

When you say dunking - for how long? Are you submerging the entire plant? Is it drying between dunks?

What are the temperatures and humidity in your growing area?

Much of Florida is very much more humid than most people's indoor growing spaces. Orchids outdoors are susceptible to various fungal diseases.

Yes, I would cut off the top of your plant. It may be too late to save it.

I suggest signing up for the monthly Florida orchid growing E-mail newsletters from Motes Orchids.
