Just saying hello, as have just joined this forum. Looking forward to sharing various orchid experiences over the coming seasons.
Have just rebuilt my orchid collection after my dogs decided orchids were tasty. :-(
I've installed shelves a little higher up than they can jump now - so unless the dogs sprout wings, my orchids are safe from them.
Winter seems to be coming early here in Sydney - but I've got all the vandaceous orchids sorted - finally. An attic bedroom with three skylights, a small glasshouse inside the room (for humidity's sake), and a little desk fan in the glasshouse (for air movement). Never tried this before - so will let you all know how it pans out. My Renanthera monachica seems to be the proof of the pudding though - it's going mental in there!
