Default Vanda Mimi Palmer Questions

I got a small Vanda ‘Mimi Palmer’ last spring and managed to kill it and I’m trying to decide if it’s worth replacing. I had to neglect my Vandas for a few weeks last summer and this is the only one that didn’t bounce right back. Is it particularly cold or humidity sensitive?

It was grown with a Vanda ‘Panchera Delight’ and a couple other blue hybrids and a Vanda merrellii and Vanda denisoniana. These are all still doing fine. I’m not sure if I got unlucky with the Mimi Palmer or if it has different requirements than the others.

They all hang next to a window in the shower and I take them down to soak most nights. They probably get some exposure to temperatures in the low 60s for at least a few hours at night until I take them down to soak.

I've had 2 Mimi Palmers.

It's been a while so I could have the name mixed up, but Mimi Palmer is quite a unique name.
If I remember right, they had a fairly light background, maybe white(?), then heavily covered with smallish darker grey spots, making them look like a dark grey flower, kinda pretty, like a mud fence.
They were the first Vanda I found to be fragrant.
Made me start checking all the others.
I found that many Vandas are fragrant, to my surprise.

The ones I had were mature warehouse clearances that I picked up at farmer's markets.
They ended up being overgrown. The ferns smothered and killed them while things were very disrupted around here.
Any time I go to a market, I watch for one.
I want another.

EDIT:
Oh Yah, Questions.
They need and like humidity.
They want large root masses.
They send roots long distances up and down their tree.
Encourage root growth.
Those roots require moisture daily.
Those in my yard get misted naturally daily even in drought period.
They come from a variety of habitats, but none i know of tolerate cold, as in a northern climate.
Be careful of opening doors and windows.
They can kill orchids in the winter.
