Oeoniella polystachys
prounced (oo-ee-NEE-ella)
First bloom. Only 2 flowers, one open now. I was too impatient to wait. Flowers small, lateral sepal width is 1 1/8 inch wide. Night fragrant, and surprisingly strong for one small flower. Spicy-floral type scent. Angraecoid orchid from Madagascar, Seychelles, and Comoros.

I like it! Also, the plant seem not to be large which is a plus!

Now you made me go out and do some homework. Looks like it once was, but back in 1828 - 1890. It has about 12 synonyms, all from the 1800's and early 1900's. I did not find history on what prompted each change, but thats taxonomy for you. Didnt exactly answer your question, but maybe got a C.
