The Joy of Growing Under Natural Sunlight
Rapid double tap to enlarge.
The pictures say it all but this is not to diminish other growing means.
Maybe the posting should have been entitled “The Frustration of Having an Inferior Camera.

Oh sure...just rub your year-round great weather in the faces of those who have to contend with cold, snow, and ice for a big chunk of the year.
They look great!!

Katrina,
In NJ we don't get great weather year round but the sunny days are much appreciated by my plants and me, perhaps even more so during the winter cold.
Thank you for the compliment about the plants.

They do look really great! Like Katrina, I first thought that you must be somewhere warm but then looked and saw you were from New Jersey. Do you mean that you are growing in a greenhouse?

No, I am growing indoors year round. I believe outdoor growing in the summer is problematic because of insects.

In PA I grew exclusively in a very "tight" greenhouse, but occasionally managed to get insect issues every now and then.
Since moving to NC, I grow all of my (much smaller) collection out on the deck from April through October, and in two years, I've seen nothing. I'm pleased but baffled.

You are fortunate.
I am so freaked out by insects that I welcome the tiny jumping spiders to make a home among my collection even going so far as to coax them onto a sheet of paper towel from other locations and bring them to my plants. Natural insect control at its best.

Ray, your neighbors might spray for insects.
I see, you are growing in a window. I just moved my plants/orchids back to the windows (with the lights to supplement the natural light) and I am quite pleased with the results. Natural lighting rules.
