Default Neofinetia Kibana

Nothing special about this Neo, just a plain, run of the mill Kibana. I got it in early summer and since it's a small plant I wasn't expecting blooms this year, and certainly not so late in the season.

My only complaint is that the blooms don't last long enough! The time it took for all 3 to open and then become a nice yellow color, the first bloom was on its way out.

Camille it is beautiful! I love the color, congratulations on the flowers. My Kibana is small and has not flowered for me yet, fingers crossed it will one day.

You have a nice healthy looking plant. How is the fragrance?

I do love the color as well, it's so cheerful! Absolutely zero fragrance however. I was hoping it would smell as nice as the other Neos which flowered for me this year.

I hope you'll have a spike on yours next year!

Over the years, I’ve had a number of Kibanas and other yellow types without ever blooming any of them. Currently I have a Kibana, Ogonmaru, and Yubae.

Hopefully as your plant gets larger, the blooms may last longer.

In any event, you should be pleased with the current outcome.
