First time blooming for this primary hybrid (V.falcata x ampullacea). It's a small plant, the blooms are about 1cm and unscented. I like the contrast between the dusky pink petals/sepals and the yellowy orange spur.
Grown in my typical vanda culture - bareroot, south exposure and watered twice a week and the roots sprayed a couple of times a week also.
Super color. The more I see a growers success with vase culture, the more likely I am to give it a try.
The good thing about vase culture is that you can see what is exactly going on with the roots - easy to see when dry and when watered will dry out quickly - the downside is that they require more attention than ones in media - but another plus is they are much more manageable than purely bareroot plants.
