Shoreguy, your plant has grown very well for you, beautiful form. I have a Kaioumaru and it looks very similar to your Sekirei though my plant is smaller. I purchased my plant from Seed Engei in March of last year, one growth with a baby.

It is nice to have another knowledgeable, experienced Neo grower on the board as so many members have gone elsewhere. Facebook:/ The newer Neo nuts, like myself rely on information posted on older threads and we try to help each other with issues if needed.

Hakumin thankfully is an active member and very helpful, he has been wonderful for many of the Neo growers here.

I hope you will continue to post pictures of your beautiful plants and I know I will, no doubt, learn from your years of experience with these amazing plants.

I will continue with posting but not as frequently as the last few days. You can count on it. Don't be concerned if I am not heard from for a week or two. My other hobbies have forums also but I have no interest in getting involved in them. They are far less complex: spinning tops and flashlights. Hope that doesn't sound too crazy.

Orchids and Neofinetias in particular are what really captures my interest.

What a beautiful plant! It has grown very very for you since you got it, and is a very impressive looking plant.

Like Patty says, it's nice to see some active Neo nuts on the forum again. I was around during the initial wave of neo craziness, got a few Neos, but they never did much for me, and I struggled to keep them alive. This time around seems to be going better (I'm a bit older and wiser, and much more experienced with orchids!), but I wonder if I will get blooms. I don't think they're getting less than 65F at night in winter, maybe 60F since they're next to a window. Root growth stopped mid december, but now they're all starting new growths. So not dormant at all.

Camille,

65 nighttime low is fine in winter. What is most important is the temperature difference in winter between night and day.

10 degree difference is ideal so if daytime in the winter gets up to 75 degrees or so you are where you should be to promote initiation of flower spikes.
