Poking around my GH I noticed that my Neofinetia falcata 'Hokage' was exploding with new root growth. Always nice to see those root tips.
This plant had a couple white patches when I got it, but in my care it's become very purpley, but hasn't had any new growths with tiger variegation. Anyone have any suggestions?
The plant is getting bright light (a little less than Cattleya) and I fertilize my Neos weakly once or twice a month.
Gorgeous Hokage! Those ruby roots are awesome! Orchids Web states this plant likes medium light, maybe you are giving it more light than it likes? They also state it has green, yellow and red leaves. The name translates to Fire Shadow.
Your plant is beautiful and looks very healthy. I do not have Hokage so I’m not much help. No doubt someone with knowledge of this plant will have more information for you. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! I repotted it today and gently pulled on a couple of growths to see if I could split the plant (give different light levels to each division) but none wanted to leave the clump. I'll try reducing the light and see if that makes any difference when the leaves flush out.
