Neofinetia falcata Tougen
I recently purchased this Neofinetia Tougen at a local orchid show. I was not expecting any Neos to be there at all so I was surprised to find a members table with several for sale.
I had filled a box from J&L and was heading to the check out table when this plant called out to me. It was a reasonable price and good size, freshly mossed. I had to stop myself as I wanted them all.
Anyway, I wanted to share Tougen. I’ve not found much information about this Neo, she will have flowers much like Shutennou. Here she is:

Thank you! The Neos were all nice plants, it took extreme control to only buy one. If there had been bean leaf Neos I might have been in trouble!

That's gorgeous!! I'm just surprised that you got only one!
I'm so jealous of the stuff you guys find at shows in the US, Dutch shows are just boring.

Tougen 桃源 will have flowers similar in color to Shutennou. It’s leaves are long and narrow. That is an unexpected find! When I see Furan available at orchid shows, I’m pleased that they are becoming more available.
That tag looks like it must have come from Seed Engei.

Thank you Camille, it was a surprise to find Neofinetia at this show. These were on a members table and there was no one to ask any questions, initially I was not sure they were for sale. I had recently placed an order with Satomi, told myself I would go easy at this show so yeah, I only bought one Neo. Cordelia from J&L Orchids had helped me fill my one box I had allowed myself.

Thank you Matt, that is about all the information I was able to find about Tougen. I understand it is an older Neo. I really had to do a double take when I noticed these Neos at this show, not expected at all. There were only about half a dozen different ones and this plant is the only plant that had a actual tag. It is Seeds Engei’s tag. This plant had recently been remossed, others were growing in bark mixes with hand written tags.
I assumed these were from different members as the tags were all different, some plants looked to be new divisions recently potted. Anyway, I’m happy with the Tougen and hope to see more Neofinetia at next years show.
This show is east cost vendors, too bad Al does not participate as he certainly promotes the show.

Surprised for sure! I’ve only been to this show twice and I don’t remember seeing Neos last year. Although I almost walked right passed these, they were just sitting in amongst the other orchids and easy to miss. Honestly if I hadn’t already filled a box, I would have purchased all the Neos that were setting there!
Your Kishu Ryokufu has green flowers! Great find!

Nice find guys! Here are some (secondhand) info on Tougen:
-- "an older form with lovely curved purple spurs" (Photo here)
-- registered, benibana (紅花) type leaves, crescent tsuke, mud axis and root tips, originally from Kōchi prefecture in Japan, and as for a description, this is what Google translate has to say:
"Large size with no tightness in leaf appearance, thin pink color as a whole, dense in distance."
(sourced from here).

-- 紀州緑風 (きしゅうりょくふう) or Kishū ryokufū, not regestered, 緑花 type leaves, crescent tsuke, doro/mud axis and root tips, originally from Wakayama prefecture. Description (as per Google translate): "Medium-size leaves broad-width princesses, flowers are green-tassels · fields". Here are some pics, I believe.

Thank you so much skhan for the wonderful information! I had not been able to locate much about the Tougen other than the flower color and it being an older Neofinetia.
I felt lucky to have found such a nice plant, it is healthy and mounded nicely. Your information is much appreciated!
