Default neofinetia bean leaf

This one is a very active little guy! Three new roots, and a brand new leaf

The bean leaf are my favorite Neofinetia, love the stout, thick leaves. I have Suikaden as well and it has grown well for me. I've only had it since January, no blooms but there is always next year.

Your plant is very nice, thanks for sharing!

My Suikaden has three larger fans and two baby fans. The smaller fans have shown the most growth. It has grown roots like crazy, looks kinda like Medusa!

I don't usually name my plants but this one I call Lorraine, my daughter in law made the pot for me. Here is a pic of her.

She is Lovely! Having that many growths, does that mean you could get flowers soon?

I have been drooling over the tiny beans on different web pages, and discovered one I definitely have to have!

Kuro Shinjyu (Black Pearl) It is soooo tiny and cute!

I don't think I'll have flowers this year, there is no hint of a spike growing at all. It has bloomed in the past. This plant was an eBay win from Seed Engei, they have beautiful Neofinetia. They sell on eBay as japaneseorchids, only have listings every few weeks so you have to keep checking.

I also have Kuroshinju, two of them in fact. They are so stinking cute! My first plant has never been strong in fact I thought it was going to die so I purchased a second one from Seed Engei's eBay as a back up plant.
They often sell Kuroshinju on eBay. I'm still nursing the first plant and hopefully it will make it.

Sounds like you have been bitten by the Neo bug, it's a good thing! They are amazing plants. I hope you find a Kuroshinju, you'll love it!

It only takes one, I began with one plant last November while visiting Al's Orchids in Leasburg Va. Oonamiseikai, I decided to give it a try, just one! Yeah sure. Al was having a nice sale on his Neos, big plants half price! He sources his Neos from Seed Engei and has a amazing personal collection.

I returned the following week and purchased four more. It just continued from there. I live about 30 min from there, need to go visit again even if to only buy neo pots. He sells the black plastic Neo pots so I never order those online.

I've ordered others online as well but certainly appreciate being able to pick my plants in person. Al always acts as if I'm buying his child so I always give him progress reports when I return.

I'll be happy to share pictures of my Kuroshinju, I'm sure you will notice the obvious weak plant. The first plant seemed to never come out of dormancy, roots dried up and it has a clamped leaf appearance. I've moved it into a indoor greenhouse/shelves set up for the added humidity and it now has 5 new roots poking through! Eventually this little thing will bounce back. The second plant is smaller with better color and nice pudgy leaves. Roots everywhere. If you can find one you should have it. They are tiny and adorable. Here the two are, first picture is the weaker plant.
