Default New Neofinetia arrived!

This afternoon my order from NWO arrived, a Fukujumaru and a Isechabo. They are both really nice plants, and arrived safely. The Fukujumaru is a tiny, adorable little thing. I had searched for pictures of this and found very few so the size was a nice surprise. The Isechabo is nice too though I'm not so sure it is the correct plant. I understood Isechabo to be smaller than Tamakongo? This plant is as large or larger than my 5 growth Tamakongo while only having 3 growths. It has a wider leaf span and a thicker "stem". Maybe I'm wrong. Anyway here are pictures of the new Neos.

The first is the adorable Fukujumaru.

Thank you Charles! They are very nice, these two new ones are from New World Orchids. They have very nice plants. The Tamakongo I was comparing to is from Orchid Web, they have awesome Neofinetia as well. Both great vendors.

There are too many of these and I've gotten hooked. Do you grow them?

Those are awesome little Neos! They're delightful plants, and, at least in my experience, quite easy to grow. I have a couple in with my minis and a mounted one with my Phals. Mine are quite basic Neos, however, while yours are quite extraordinary. I can't wait to see how they bloom.

I've only been buying them since November so I'm very much looking forward to seeing any blooms. The new Isechabo seems to have a tiny spike forming!

I have 14 now and with my very limited knowledge, I believe 6 have what looks like a spike poking out. Very exciting! A few are coming out of their winter dormancy now, it's cool to see the roots begin to wake up.

To me they are all extraordinary!

Charles, which Neofinetia do you grow? Have yours bloomed for you?

Fukujumaru 福寿丸 is considered a Needle leaf variety. It grows fast and forms a clump quickly compared to other varieties.

Your Isechabo 伊勢矮鶏 looks very healthy. It is considered a little smaller than Tamakongou 玉金剛 but I have seen larger Ischeabo. It really depends on their provenance. Your three plants make a nice core collection.
