It gets increasingly sunny in the early spring (it's approximately SSW-facing) -- most of my catt-types are speckled in red -- but the trees will start to leaf out soon and then it'll be too shady for everyone else in that window. I'll move the Neos (and almost everybody else) outdoors as long as it's warm enough. :) I did consider keeping the Neos inside; it might be enough light? But I think they'd like it better outside.

Nice collection and setup! Very Zen and peaceful!

That's a very nice Keshoumaru you got there, better than most I've seen before.

Keshoumaru is considered an easier to grow lookalike to the more famous but difficult to grow Benikeshou. It gets white tiger type variegation and some red pigmentation that's showing in yours, but usually doesn't get quite as red as Benikeshou. It has its origins among the strains of neos from the Amami Islands. It should also get ruby colored roots.

In many ways it's a similar variety to Hokage, which is much more common here in the US compared to either Keshoumaru or Benikeshou, but Keshoumaru has some differences in the way the variegation develops as well as in physical form.

Regardless, you have an excellent specimen of the variety. :)

It was starting to push out little pale pink root tips when I purchased it; we'll see if they change to ruby under different conditions or as they grow larger.
