Yellowing Neofinetia Shutennou leaves? Female
Default Yellowing Neofinetia Shutennou leaves?

I recently got a neofinetia shutennou that put out a spike right after I repotted it about two weeks ago. Now it's in bud but I realized today that two of the leaves are beginning to yellow. Any ideas why this might be?

Roots are super healthy, and it's potted in a mix of sphag and bark in a pot that gets a lot of ventilation. Other than the yellowing, the leaves seem healthy too. It gets direct sunlight until about 9am then bright indirect sunlight until 2-3. 50-60% humidity. Fertilizer is weak/weekly and it gets spritzed every morning.

Really hoping it doesn't loose the buds!

On one of the two in the pot, it's the second to lowest leaf. On the other, it's the lowest leaf. Both are yellowing from the tips back towards the base. Otherwise the leaves don't show signs of aging/preparing to drop off.

Not sure. If it's only the bottom lowest bottom two leaves probably nothing to worry about too much. Might just be stress from repotting happened to some of my new ones as well.

Maybe someone else can chime in?

Do you have photos

I have the same problem with my takakuma. I got tired of it this weekend and took them off. So i will now try Epsom salt to see if it can help maintain better leafs. Since magnesium can help the plant to take up more nutrients.
