Asofinetia Cherry Blossom
I bought two seed propagated plants of this cross a couple of years ago, and one is in bloom, and the other one is in spike.
I was looking forward to magenta colored flowers, but it is apricot. Oh, well.
I can see it is a willing bloomer as it has two spikes on a first blooming seedling.
The flowers are slightly fragrant at dusk and at dawn.
I wonder if the other one will have magenta flowers.
Please, please, please!!!

I would guess that your "Cherry Blossom" is a cross between a Neofinetia and an Ascocentrum ampullaceum var. aurantiacum -- the orange variety.

Possibly.
Only that the tag just says ampullaceum. Makes me wonder then if my other one is also from the same batch, which means, I'm doomed!
Interesting how people love this color.
I was so disappointed when the flowers opened.
I want magenta flowers!!!
