Has anyone grown this cross? I have one that is growing a spike and I can hardly wait to see what the blooms look like. Maybe a tiny phal flower with a tail? Lol The plant itself looks like more of the phal than
Neo ..a few leaves (3) they are much thinner than either parent, about 3 times wider than neo, so much narrower than any phal that I know of. The spike looks like a phal spike, much longer than neo, about 5''. It only has 3 buds on it at this point but looks like may be more before it is done. The buds look like the flowers might be pink, or maybe pink and white. A very interesting little plant.
Waiting patiently,,,not!!...Jean

Neofinetia x Phalaenopsis = Phalanetia.
My guess is that it's going to have flowers with much narrower petals, since Neos seem to generally have quite an effect on flower shape in hybrids (From my own observations). No idea about the spur!

Yes Camilla you are right PhalANETIA not FINETIA. Not unusual for me to put my own spin on names lol.
I think the same thing about the flowers, the Neo seems to be very strong in that department... Jean

I'd love to see pictures as well. Doesn't mind if it's not in bloom yet.

A Wind Orchid crossed with a Phalaenopsis is a Vandaenopsis.
