Good for you, Carrie!

Well, both my spikes are sooooooo slow! They have been pretty much the same size they were three months ago.
I've never seen anything slower.
better be very good. hahaha

Amazing, yet another wish list orchid for me!

My Neostylis Lou Sneary has been very irritating lately. This plant has bloomed twice for me, but this time, the spikes keep drying up and dying. After reading the comments here, I am going to try to keep it a little more moist than I have been with a misting in between waterings. I hope the change doesn't cause a root die off.

Yes, Mine made it to the show (and got a ribbon)! I'll be there tomorrow, so be sure to look me up!

The venue has been a bit cold which has impacted the plants. Lots of good shoppiong

We're supposed to be featured on Fios News 1 tonight - I was interviewed! And we will be having Fios' Push Pause NJ filming tomorrow afternoon. Very exciting.

Finally I'm not the only one! The spikes on my neos grew ever so slightly in the past two months. This spring has been fairly cold here.

No, I'm talking about a hybrid, neostylis, and one of the parent species (not the neo) is supposedly very slow.

My neos always bloom in June, and from the beginning of spike appearing to open flowers take about one month.

Maybe yours is a slow variety or it is just not warm enough.

At around what temperature do the neos usually set the spike? It's still in the mid 60s daytime and upper 40s at night and I usually leave the window open during the day and sometimes at night too.
