I've never seen anything slower.
better be very good. hahaha
Finally I'm not the only one! The spikes on my neos grew ever so slightly in the past two months. This spring has been fairly cold here.

No, I'm talking about a hybrid, neostylis, and one of the parent species (not the neo) is supposedly very slow.

My neos always bloom in June, and from the beginning of spike appearing to open flowers take about one month.

Maybe yours is a slow variety or it is just not warm enough.

At around what temperature do the neos usually set the spike? It's still in the mid 60s daytime and upper 40s at night and I usually leave the window open during the day and sometimes at night too.

I don't think it's necessarily the temperature, although I'm sure it's part.
They bloom in early summer in nature. Day length is longer, it's hot in their habitat and it's around the monsoon season, so lots of rain. All these are cues for them to know when to flower I think.

Horticultural varieties differ in their blooming habits.
Some bloom every year around summer like they should and some bloom more than once a year, and some do not bloom every year.

Your temperature range for now is about early spring weather for neos I think.
I don't know the habit of your particular neos, but for regular variety, they won't flower under such low temp.
