Neofinetia falcata in bloom
Hi, my first neo just bloomed!
Dont know much about this plant, as the label just says "neofinetia falcata "
If anyone can tell me anything about variety by looking at the picture, i would be very happy!
I really enjoy these small flowers, and the smell is amazing!
Daniel

Well grown Daniel. This is likely a Shutennou 朱天王. This is a very popular Neofinetia because of its beautiful flowers. Good to see that it is thriving as a mounted plant instead of being grown in sphagnum moss mounded pots.

Wow, that is a really nice flower! Congratulations!
I bought my first one for the fragrance and the other two in hopes to have that fragrance more often.

Thank you! Im so glad i got to see this little fella in bloom!
Thank you MattWoelfsen for the added info! I googled shutennou and it does look like it!
Decided to mount this one becouse i dont have experience with all moss culture! Afraid of overwatering! It seems to be ok mounted, alot of roots forming.

You are welcome Daniel! Since you have a really nice plant, be careful, you might get the Neofever. Some have resisted--Leafmite is the only one I know who has resisted getting anymore than her three Neos.

Daniel, I am embarrassed to even count how many I have BUT I own 130 different varieties. If you look at the front of this Vanda Neofinetia-forum, the stickies, there are various kinds listed in the different threads. I started reading these threads, became fascinated with the different forms, flowers, roots, etc.
That got me hooked. fair warning! LOL!
This is about 1/25 of my plants.
