I looked again at my mounted Neo hybrid. This plant has a massive root system entwined in and out of the slab. It will take a lot of patience not to damage these roots!

Yes, Vandaceous can be time consuming to repot. I have a large plant in a wooden basket, which I have been reluctant to tackle, but it has a good size keiki coming out of the bottom of the basket, so I need to do something. I expect that will be a 2-3 hr project to disassemble the basket without damaging too many roots.
