White Crane (Vanda sanderiana x Neofinetia falcata)
The buds opened!
I hope these will open fully. It is a little early in the day. As it gets warmer it should open up further. It has a very subtle pink color.

Yes, they go from 'developing spike' to full bloom very quickly.
My plant (June 2013, but with two basal keikis) bloomed first time Dec 2013, then on all 3 fans in May, and again from main fan in July/August.

Here is a picture of the blossom.
Thanks for your comment Fairorchid. I remember you posting a picture of your plant a couple of months ago.

Yours has more color than either of mine, was it made with sanderiana alba or std color form?

According to the vendor, the V. sanderiana parent was the regular one. They indicated it would have a "pink blush".

It's so cool! I can see the sanderiana and I can see the neofinetia.. More so than that of other hybrids. I love it! If I can get flasking right I'm DEFINATELY going to make one of these!

That explains the difference, as mine are with alba version (produced by Exotic Orchids). I like the color of yours; mine have just a hint of the netting on lower sepals.

White Crane (Vanda sanderiana x Neofinetia falcata)
I saw a blooming one on display at the orchid meeting this weekend. Surprised- it's a big plant (compared to the Neos.)

Plant size is in part determined by which plant is used as the pod parent. All the White Cranes I have seen were made with V sanderiana as the pod parent, so that plants are close to sanderiana in size should not be a surprise.
Likewise, I have 4 different plants of Neostylis (now Vandachostylis) Pinky, which is NF x Rhy gigantea. It is very obvious that two had NF as pod parent, while the other two had Rhy gigantea as the pod parent (plants are twice as large).
Most of my other intergeneric NF hybrids were made with the NF as pod parent, so those plants are all small.
