This is an old post, but I just got one of these with no growing instructions. I don't know if it has to be put on a winter diet or not, and I suspect I put it in too bright a light because it looks burned. What do I need to do to grow this right?
It can tolerate full sun in NJ, provided you spritz it daily and water it every other day. They do get red pigment in leaves when grown in high light though.
Not sure why GardenTheater can't grow this one (unless he/she has problems getting humidity up). I consider this one very easy.
Fairorchids, please define full sun. Do you mean full sun like tomatoes would get in NJ in the summer, or full sun like they'd get indoors in an east window? I'm in Tucson, and even now I seem to be able to burn leaves in short order.
I also have humidity problems. If I keep the greenhouse closed, the humidity builds up...but so does the heat. If I open the vents, the temps are better, but the humidity drops.
